Description

The bearing surface on the crankshaft is a critical component of overall engine reliability, engine noise and bearing life. There are two important bearing surfaces on the camshaft. The needle roller bearing surface and the clutch bearing surface. If either of these bearing surfaces becomes damaged or rusted and bumpy, they will cause premature bearing failure, especially for the spring clutch bearing. The clutch bearing surface MUST be smooth and clean or the bearing will fail.
