Brose S Mag black magnesium engine drive belt set (black magnesium engine) Original belt set with titanium screws seal o ring and new belt tension adjusting screw as well as o-ring and sticker to protect the adjusting screw.

Both sides of the Brose carbon fibre belt should be liberally lubricated with ”technical” petroleum jelly. Failure to do so will result in high belt wear and temperature and may cause excessive noise. Technical Vaseline is a non-corrosive mixture of oils and long-chain non-polar hydrocarbons, but is generally thicker than pharmaceutical grade Vaseline. The product has a low melting point which is important if the belt dries out and starts to heat up.

PLB20151 Technical Vaseline for lubricating the drive belt is best applied with an old toothbrush, for example, which is good for that.

NOTE ! a few tips. Remember to remove the pulley adjusting screw before removing the side cover. Use a 6mm thread pin to clean the thread. Install the spindle only after you have installed the side head to make the job easier Lubricate the belt on both sides Remember the belt tension is only 0,2nm if it gets too tight it can break the pulley and the electric motor bearing as well as the belt.
